Microair Barrier

Dopo poco tempo sono stato in grado di ottenere un grande successo con le calze Microair Barrier e con i guanti.

Dopo 3 anni con i piedi aperti e le mani in cattivo stato potevo solo sperare in un miracolo. Il miracolo non arrivò, ma al suo posto la ditta AllergyCare.

È molto bello poter camminare di nuovo correttamente e non sentire più quel dolore permanente ai miei piedi.

Dopo un lungo periodo di cure all'Inselspital di Berna e a Burgdorf, dovetti ancora io stesso aiutare i medici che reagivo alla pelle, nonostante le scarpe e i cinturini sempre molto buoni. Quindi furono fatti nuovi test che risultarono molto positivi. Successivamente, ricevetti una brochure e un campione di calze barriera dall'Inselspital di Berna. Sulla strada di casa lessi la brochure di AlleryCare e pensai, sì, sì, ciò che non può aiutare non può far male.

Uso questo prodotto per prevenire la reazione ai materiali di alcune scarpe. Lo trovo efficace nel ridurre le reazioni che erano piuttosto gravi con delle eruzione di orticaria e irritazioni, che interferivano con il sonno. Non ho più bisogno di assumere antistaminici e crema steroidea. Li indosso più volte alla settimana e durano 4-6 mesi.

Before getting the socks I used a variety of creams from moisturisers like Double Base to the most potent being the steroid cream Dermovate. They never really touched the surface and the condition always returned.  Since buying your socks a year ago, I've had a couple of very very minimum attacks which unlike before are a bit of an itch and flaky skin (previously my skin broke, bled and made walking difficult). I normally now treat this with Dermovate once a day for a couple of days.  I still moisturise my feet regularly but the socks have stopped any other major outbreak. Due to the patch test discovering that I have a severe allergic reaction to Acid Yellow 36 (& no shoe manufacturer can guarantee the dye not being present in their shoes) I wear my socks whenever I wear leather shoes which is normally 6 days per week. (B. The micro air barrier socks are brilliant and allow me to wear shoes that would otherwise cause severe contact dermatitis. I have a proven ( following patch testing) allergy to PTBP(shoe glue) I have washed the barrier socks repeatedly and so far they have lasted well.

For the small number of people who require these products they are truly transformational. 
I do not require any medication when I use the socks whereas previous needed emollients and steroid creams. (F. S., 2015)

I've recently been diagnosed with allergic contact dermatitis to rubber accelerants, such as mercapto mix chemicals. God knows why it's suddenly happened!? but for me it meant that whenever I wore shoes with rubber in them (which is all shoes!) I came out in excema on the soles of my feet that would crack, get infected and make even walking around a bit of a nightmare. With my hands I found it was the steering wheel of my car that was doing it and I had the same excema on the palms of my hands. I was in the army for 10 years so I've thought perhaps sweating in boots a lot could have slowly caused me to become allergic? I don't know the reason but after 2 hospital patch tests I'm sure of the irritants causing it.  The doctors didn't know what to make of it and told me the only cure was to avoid all rubber, however that's just not possible as it's everywhere! I've had to give up football, cricket and running temporarily due to the footwear and glove issues. The treatment I get from my doctor is just the standard excema steroid and moisturiser cream which I hate and is ineffective. When it got very bad I took steroid tablets which completely cured the condition as it suppresses the immune system, however these aren't nice and can have some very dodgy side affects apparently and also as soon as I stopped taking them and came into contact with rubber again the excema came back. Thankfully I stumbled across your sight while trying to find non-rubber shoes and ordered the gloves and socks. I wear the socks every day when I'm wearing shoes. I have a pair of trainer socks under them and normal thin socks over the top, it's a bit warm... but my feet have almost completely returned to normal! I can wear trainers again and most shoes although with some it still seems to affect them. The same is true with my hands and I wear the gloves every time i'm driving with a pair of normal gloves over the top, it's a bit odd and you feel a right weirdo explaining to people why your wearing gloves all the time, however I've got my hands almost back to normal so I couldn't care less! I can't emphasise enough what these products have done for me and I use them every day, without them i'd go back to cracked and infected feet and hands. I've got a couple of pairs of socks and gloves which I alternate after 3 days or so to wash. Because I don't wear the socks next to the skin they don't get covered in sweat and other nice stuff.. so I can get away with wearing them longer. This seems to make them last longer and I'm still using them all, although one pair of gloves has stitching coming away on the fingers. The only thing that could perhaps improve them is if the seam were on the side of the sock instead of the sole. This can be a bit uncomfortable at times and I find that if your feet get wet the allergy proteins can penetrate through the seam and you end up with a red mark running down your foot. This is still nowhere near as bad as before however!  I'll be ordering more in the near future just in case and this should without doubt be available under prescription.  The amount of money I've spent on steroid cream, moisturiser cream, private hospital dermatology appointments to no avail whatsoever, could all have been avoided if I'd seen these earlier. No doctor or dermatologist I've seen is aware of them which should also be changed. They're obviously not a cure but without doubt they're the best treatment/preventative measure out there.  Thank you for trying to get these on prescription and for all your help, just let me know if I can be of any further assistance. (M. For many years now I have suffered with a chronic skin condition affecting my skin, in particular the soles of my feet.  I have had various diagnosis and many prescriptions for steroids and emollients to manage this debilitating condition.  In September 2014 after suffering for about eighteen months with the latest particularly painful flare up I became very depressed.  This was because all the strong steroids had damaged my skin and I really could not leave the house.  I was in a great deal of pain as my skin was so sore and cracking then bleeding, the risk of infection a terrible worry and I had to apply dermovate steroids then epaderm in great quantities, I was taking painkillers and anti-histamines.  A complete nightmare.  I then changed my G.P. who referred me to a Dermatologist who I would not be able to see until the 26th November 2014.  It was also suggested that I may have developed an allergy to chromates used in the tanning process for leather goods, shoes, handbags etc.  As my appointment was such a long way off I looked on the internet and found this product and thought I'd give it a try.  I am so glad I did.  These socks have been a life saver.  I hardly ever worry now about infection and wear these socks most days especially when going out.  I only have to apply steroids about twice a week and emollients every other day.  This is such a dramatic change from having to apply these emollient creams almost on an hourly basis.  This is a terrific product.  My husband and I are thrilled about the healing effect these socks have had and feel they should be available on prescription.  They would save an absolute fortune for the NHS and anyone suffering as I have.  I have spent an enormous sum of money in recent years on prescriptions and other items to try to do what wearing these socks has done in such a short space of time.  They wash really well and come up like new everytime but it would be nice to have a spare pair. (J.
